The terms for using issued.live.

issued.live is operated by Tuxxin LLC ("we", "us"). By accessing the site or its API you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What the service publishes

issued.live publishes observations drawn from public Certificate Transparency logs, ICANN zone file feeds, and DNS resolution performed by us. We provide it for research, security and operational use.

Paid plans

We offer two paid plans, described on the pricing page. Both include access to the API without the free daily cap, and daily downloadable files. The Pro plan adds the search API, full certificate detail and the extended record. The pricing page states rate limits per minute. We may adjust them where a single subscriber's use degrades the service for others. We will not reduce a published limit without notice to subscribers.

The free, unauthenticated API remains available regardless of any paid plan.

Billing and cancellation

We bill paid plans monthly in advance through PayPal subscriptions. PayPal takes the payment; we never see or hold your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time from the billing page in your account, or directly in PayPal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not end the period you have already paid for. Access continues until the end of that period and then lapses. We do not pro-rate or refund part-months. If a payment fails, we suspend access until it succeeds.

Prices may change. An existing subscription keeps its price for as long as it remains active and unbroken. A change takes effect only at a renewal after we have given you notice by email.

Your account and API key

Accounts have no password. You sign in with a short-lived code sent to your email address, and each account holds one API key, which you can rotate at any time.

The key is a bearer credential: anyone holding it can use your plan. Keep it secret, do not commit it to a public repository, and rotate it if you suspect it has been exposed. You are responsible for use of your key, including by anyone you share it with. Rotating a key immediately invalidates the previous one. Accounts and keys are for a single subscriber. They may not be shared between organizations or resold as access.

What you may do with the data

A paid plan grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the data internally (in your own products, research, investigations, alerting and reporting) for as long as the subscription is active. You may publish findings and excerpts derived from it.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the bulk files, or a substantial part of them, as a dataset. The line falls between using the data and re-publishing the corpus. A report, a feed of your own conclusions, or a product that consults the data is allowed. A mirror of our files, or a service that simply re-serves them, is not.

Much of the underlying material (Certificate Transparency logs, zone files, public DNS) is public, and we claim no ownership of the underlying facts. The license here covers the compiled, normalized and enriched collection.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the data is complete, current or correct. Records may be stale, incomplete or absent. Nothing here should be relied on as the sole basis for a security, legal, financial or operational decision.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tuxxin LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability arising out of these terms shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).

Acceptable use

You may not:

• use the service to send unsolicited communications, or to compile lists for that purpose;
• place load on the service that degrades it for others, or attempt to circumvent any rate limit or access control;
• use the service to attack, gain unauthorized access to, or interfere with any system, network or domain;
• misrepresent the data as originating from a domain's owner, a registry, or a certificate authority;
• share, resell or sublicense an API key, or use one account to serve multiple organizations;
• redistribute or republish the bulk files, or a substantial part of them, as a dataset;
• use the service where doing so would breach any applicable law.

Third-party names imply no affiliation

Domain names, organization names and trade marks shown on this site belong to their respective owners. Their appearance is an observation about publicly logged data and does not indicate any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from them. A page describing a domain is not that domain's page and is not operated on its behalf.

Removal requests

Certificate Transparency logs are public, append-only and operated by third parties. We cannot alter or remove anything from them. We can correct or remove what we publish; if a record concerns you, contact us with the specific domain and what is wrong.

Availability and changes

The service is under development. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including API endpoints and their response formats, at any time and without notice. We may revise these terms. The date below records when they last changed, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute shall be the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.
