 How issued.live compares

# How issued.live compares

Four services people weigh against this one, with what each covers and what it
costs. Every figure below comes from the vendor's own site.

Prices and dataset sizes observed 14 September 2026 and sourced from each
vendor's own pages. Pricing changes; check the vendor before buying. Where a vendor does not
publish a price, this page says so rather than estimating one.

## Where each one wins

### AllZonefiles.io

[allzonefiles.io](https://allzonefiles.io/)
 · bulk domain-name lists by TLD

Basic $39/mo · Pro $79/mo · Enterprise quote only

383,238,375 domains across 1,582 zones, updated daily by 09:00 UTC. The product is domain
names: gzip text, one name per line, plus daily added and removed lists.

#### Better than us

- About 15 months of dated historical snapshots on the $79 tier, with 448 dated
`.com` files going back to June 2025.

- The whole namespace in one 1.5 GB archive, refreshed daily and fetched in one call.

#### Not in their product

- Certificates of any kind, and no DNS resolution records.
- Any way to look up one domain. The API lists zones and downloads files.
- Basic and Pro are licensed to organizations with fewer than five full-time staff, and
internal use only. Five staff or more means an Enterprise quote.

### Domains-Monitor

[domains-monitor.com](https://domains-monitor.com/)
 · bulk domain lists with contact and hosting data

Standard $9/mo or $89/yr · Pro $29/mo or $299/yr

346,208,954 domains in 1,570 zones, refreshed daily around 00:00 CET. The cheapest way in
of anything here, and they sell annual billing that we do not.

#### Better than us

- A lower entry price at $9.
- Point-in-time global snapshots twice a year back to April 2022.
- Registrant contact data as a product, which we do not collect.

#### Not in their product

- Certificates and Certificate Transparency, entirely.
- Whois and RDAP records as such. They sell derived contact fields instead.
- DNS from more than one vantage point.

If you are considering their contact-data products, read their license and
take your own view on redistributing personal data in your jurisdiction.

### WhoisXML API

[whoisxmlapi.com](https://www.whoisxmlapi.com/)
 · whois, DNS, certificate and IP intelligence

Metered APIs priced publicly · bulk databases and feeds quote only

The most complete of the four, and the oldest. Around 30 query APIs plus a catalog of
bulk downloads. Newly registered domains land daily at 05:00 UTC.

#### Better than us

- Depth we cannot match: 28.7 billion historical whois records over 1.2 billion domains
from 15 years of crawling, and 116 billion DNS records.

- Per-call metered pricing, so a low-volume question costs a few dollars rather than a
 monthly subscription.

- Parsed registrant fields normalized across TLDs.

#### Worth knowing

- No published price for the bulk data. Every NRD package and database download is a
 quote.

- Their free allotments need an account, and the whois grant is 500 calls once rather
 than a recurring allowance.

- Historical NRD files are kept 7 days on the lower tiers, 30 days on Enterprise and
 365 on Ultimate.

### crt.sh

[crt.sh](https://crt.sh/)
 · free Certificate Transparency search, run by Sectigo

Free. No account, no key, no paid tier.

The baseline everyone should try first. If your question is only about certificates, this
may be all you need, and it costs nothing.

#### Better than us

- Every CT-logged certificate since 2013, searchable interactively. Our queryable window
is 14 days. We keep our daily certificate files indefinitely, but answering "what did
this domain have in 2019" is their product, not ours.

- A public read-only PostgreSQL endpoint, so you can run arbitrary SQL over the whole
 dataset.

- Certificate linting, and root-program monitoring across Mozilla, Apple and Chrome that
 we do not attempt.

#### Not in their product

- DNS data of any kind.
- Whois, RDAP, registrar or registration dates.
- Zone files, so no notion of a TLD's full population, and no domain-level index. A
domain appears only once a CA issues a certificate for it.

## Choosing

**You want certificate history going back years.** Use crt.sh, and it is free.
Our queryable window is 14 days. We do keep every daily certificate file indefinitely, so an
older date is a file we can send you, but crt.sh answers that question interactively and we
 do not pretend otherwise.

**You want the cheapest bulk domain list.** Domains-Monitor at $9, or
AllZonefiles at $39 if you want the daily added and removed lists as separate products.

**You want registrant contact details or 15 years of whois history.**
 WhoisXML API. We hold neither.

**You want domains, certificates and DNS answering the same question.** That is
what this service is for. The other four each cover one or two of those three, and joining
their outputs yourself means reconciling three vendors' identifiers. Our
 [plans](/pricing) are $39, $99 and $199.

Something here out of date or wrong? [Tell us](/contact) and we will
correct it. We would rather be accurate than flattering.
